Day 365

Wow.

My last day of this project.

People ask, "What are you gonna do? Are you continuing? How about "Two Drawings a Day for a Year"? How about a "Painting Every Day for a Year"? Or how about "Draw Every Hour for a Year"??

And my answer is nope. Just plain ol' nope. Aside from the one drawing I have yet to do, no sir. I take my leave from this sweet and rewarding duty.

But I encourage everyone to try doing something for a year, aside from "Kill Every Day for a Year" or "Smoke Three Packs of Cigarettes Every Day for a Year" and other such dangerous ventures. But venture you must, my friends. Unless you are just too busy for such frivolity.

Thank all those of you who have offered me encouragement in this endeavor (and I am not claiming that I will name everyone on this first pass)...

FIRST OFF, CHRISTOPHER BENNETT of MechaMonkey fame! Many were the times that my energy was flagging, and Chris would swoop in and yell, "YOU CAN DO IT, ALBERT!" So yeah, Chris Bennett.

Jim Feeley, who in his attempt to dissuade me from this fool's errand, accidentally encouraged me to struggle forth. He is a friend of...

Sandra Lee, who has laid claim to all the Oliver J Pugsworth drawings that did not meet with kindness from this next person...

Keith Conroy, who refused to let me be content with my drawings, often performing verbal massacres on my attempts, as opposed to all the nice comments from...

Joseph Lee, who was always there to add a nice word about my posts. Similarly, his co-worker...

Dominic Polcino added dashes of salt and pepper and spices unknown to my blog, while...

Damon gave me plenty of "nice ones" and even did a drawing in my honor, while...

Rick Green often walked my bloggerhood, carrying his basket of humor and love, which he sprinkled as he pleased. And speaking of sprinkling as he pleases...

Rodrigo CloudCluster, who honored one of my posts by making it a wallpaper on his flashy, in-your-face iPhone...

Scungilli Dave, who offered some dark psychological insights into my work...

Oh there are more names...

Anonymous, whose passions rose infrequently, but perhaps not as infrequently as... SiliStace, Anal-lisa, Brando, Kenji Ono, Senor Ira, Pambo, Rakim, Valkyrie, Patrick K, the other Sandra, Andrea P, Gunner Mcleod, Jojo, Ration'al, Jaxon, and Huggy Boy...

Whom have I forgotten?

Have a happy new years, pals! Thank you all for checking in and encouraging me through 2008. It has been a pleasure serving you all.

Con amor,

Albert

I noticed as I was coming to that my day labeling was off. Looking back through the posts, I kipped numbers, doubled numbers...a hot mess. But I ain't fixin' it. There's 365+ drawings. Count 'em.
